Bruce Michael Emerick

Bruce Michael Emerick, 33, of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday May 24, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, with his family by his side.

He was born October 24, 1988 in Somerset, PA, a son of Rick L. and Donna (Shaffer) Emerick.

Bruce was a self-employed handyman and enjoyed working on many different projects, including tuning up vehicles. He loved to go riding on his motorcycle and fishing, especially on beautiful, sunny days.

His children were everything to him.

Bruce is survived by his sons,  Bruce M. Emerick, Jr. and Willard L. Emerick, both of Johnstown, his daughter, Jaeda M. Emerick of Johnson; his parents, Rick and Donna Emerick of Johnstown; sisters, Brandy D. Ackley and husband Thomas of Hollsopple, PA and Candis M. Zuegar and husband James of Brownsville; brother, Rick L. Emerick, Jr. and companion Holly Alter of Johnstown; girlfriend of 7 years, Heather Blank; maternal grandmother, Minnie Coleman; numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, and his dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Shaffer; paternal grandparents, Francis Emerick and Theresa (Barrett) Emerick; cousins, Tezmuria Shaffer and Thomas Walters, and nephew, Dylan Ackley.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.

Family and friends will be received in the Blough Mennonite Church - 794 Woodstown Hwy, Hollsopple, PA 15935 on Saturday from 11am until the hour of the funeral service at 1pm with Pastor Eric Lasure officiating.

Interment will follow immediately after at Blough Mennonite Church Cemetery.
