Betti Klein, of Connellsville, PA, went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2022. Betti was born in Nuremberg, Germany on February 24, 1925. There, she met her husband, Tony Pilato, while working as a seamstress for the Army following the conclusion of World War II.
Betti was a war bride, she and Tony Pilato married in November of 1948, after which she immigrated to the United States. Her husband was stationed at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, where Betti became a naturalized citizen on November 10, 1952.
Betti and her husband continued life in the Army for another twenty years, traveling throughout the United States and Europe.
Betti later remarried and moved to Huber Heights, Ohio to be closer to her sister. She visited her family in Pennsylvania several times a year, where she loved to spend time with her granddaughters. Betti continued to love to sew, which she did often, and loved to ride her bike and take scenic car rides. She will be fondly missed.
Betti is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Osborne of Ohio, and her sons Mike and Kenny Osborne, her daughter, Camella Kujawa, of Germany, and her children, Thomas and Cordula, her son, Robert Pilato and wife Patti of Connellsville, PA with whom Betti resided, three granddaughters, Jessilynn Brinkley and husband Kyle of Lovettsville, Virginia, Adrienne Murphy of Connellsville, PA, and Jordyn Pilato of Charleston, South Carolina, and her great grandson, Luka Murphy, whom she adored.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor the life of our beloved Oma.
