Barbara A. Machesky

Barbara A. “Barbie” Machesky, 52, of Monongahela, (formerly of Connellsville), passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at her home.

She was born December 20, 1971 in Connellsville, the daughter of Russell E. Ritenour and the late Georgetta (Aller) Ritenour.

She graduated from Connellsville High School in the Class of 1989 and continued on to the Uniontown Beauty Academy where she became a certified cosmetologist and she received her instructor license.

For many years, she worked alongside her husband, John, at the business, Machesky Towing, where she handled the accounting and many other aspects of the business alongside him.

She was Protestant by Faith.

Barbie enjoyed traveling, shopping, gardening and her plants. She adored yellow mums and always made sure to have them at her home when they came into season. She loved dogs, especially her 2 furbabies, Ozzy and Nola.

Barbie will be truly missed by her loving family and friends.

Barbie is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Machesky; her son, Nathan Machesky; granddaughter, Kinsley Dixen Machesky; sisters, Linda Hogan (Ron) and Cynthia Gibson; her special friend, Timothy A. Rapp; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and her furbabies, Ozzy and Nola.

In addition to her mother, Barbie was preceded in death by step-daughter, Kaitlyn Machesky; brother, Russell “Rusty” Ritenour; nephew, Robert Gibson; paternal grandparents, Earl and Anna Ritenour and maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Mabel Aller.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Monday from 2pm - 8pm and on Tuesday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 11am.

Entombment and Committal prayers will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park.
