Albert Carl Fletcher, Sr., 81, of Grindstone, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 5, 2023 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born October 19, 1941 in West Virginia, a son of the late Walter F. and Rhuella (Nuse) Fletcher.
He proudly served his Country in the United States Army.
Throughout his life, Albert was employed as a farmer for Gretz Farm and he worked for the Wynno Foundry Steel Mill. He was a member of the ICVSA.
Albert was an avid hunter, always going out every season to hopefully bag a big buck. In addition to hunting, he loved his cars and watching gameshows, hunting shows and Alaskan Bush People.
Albert is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Lee (Lowry) Fletcher of Grindstone; his children, Albert Fletcher Jr. of Connellsville, Terri Molinaro and husband Francis (Coco) of Connellsville, James Fletcher and wife Chris of Scottdale, Mark Fletcher and wife Tracy of Connellsville, Jeanette Smith and husband Brian of Loysville, PA, Helen Crawford and husband Randy of Ickesburg, and Gloria Cornish and husband John of Connellsville; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his grandson, John Cornish Jr.; his granddaughter, Naiona Garland; sister, Dorothy Wolfe and his brothers, James Fletcher and Billy Fletcher.
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Friday from 2pm to 8pm and on Saturday from 10am until the hour of the funeral service at Noon with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dickerson Run-Union Cemetery with full Military Honors being accorded by the VFW Post 21 and American Legion Posts 301 and 762.
