Zelda A. Cossell, 88, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully on Monday December 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born February 20, 1930 in Connellsville, the daughter of the late John and Della (Bates) Foust.
She worked for many years at Meidels Restaurant as a cook until her retirement.
Zelda was a quiet woman, who loved her grandchildren and her family dearly. She enjoyed John Wayne movies, watching T.V. and watching her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
Zelda is survived by her daughter, Laural Brooks and husband Joseph of Connellsville; grandchildren, Dr. Joseph L. Brooks, Jr. of Keele, U.K., Janet Parrill and husband Stephen and Michael Brooks and wife Tonya, who are all of Connellsville; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Parrill, Paisley Brooks, and Tanner Brooks, who are all of Connellsville, and her sister, Vella Jenning and husband Phillip of Connellsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal Cossell; stepmother, Alberta Foust; sister, Myrtle Smith (Raymond), and brother, John Foust (Doris).
Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425 on Friday from 3pm – 9pm. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday from 9am until the hour of the funeral service at 10am with Rev. Fr. Robert Lubic officiating the service.
Interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.
