Larry Wayne Roberts, Jr.

Larry Wayne Roberts, Jr., 51, of Youngwood, passed away on Monday April 8, 2024 at his home.

He was born November 3, 1972 in Fort Lauderdale, FL, a son of the late Larry Wayne Sr. and Ruthie Jean (Clark) Roberts.

Wayne graduated from Connellsville High School in the Class of 1990. Throughout the years, he worked as a truck driver for many different companies locally and all over the United States.

He was a Christian man, who looked to God when he was going through trying times.

Wayne was known as a goofball and old-fashioned. He enjoyed model cars, drawing, and astrology, believing in different signs. He adored his grandbaby, Shae, who had him wrapped around her finger since the day she was born. He enjoyed spending time with family, whether it was going to the Caddy Shack, or walking at Mammoth Park. He always made sure to check in on his daughter Chelsea and helped her with anything she needed, whether it was doing yard work, or fixing her car. Family was truly the most important to him.

As Wayne always said, ‘Look for the stars.’

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Chelsea Roberts; his granddaughter,  Shaelyn Dawn; sister, Meaghen Newcomb and husband Bradley and brother, James Newcomb and his longtime friend, Christine Boykin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Leona Breakiron and his grandfather, Benjamin Breakiron.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and supervision of the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 418 North Pittsburgh Street Connellsville, PA 15425.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, Wayne’s family requests that donations be made directly to the funeral home to help offset the costs of his unexpected funeral expenses. Donations can be made via cash, check, card or directly through the ‘Donation Tab’ on Wayne’s personal obituary page.
